3rd Birthday Party

My baby is 3 years old now!! As always I let him plan his party with me, and he picked "Firetrucks" as his theme. We planned his party at the firestation on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11 am.
It worked out perfect because Tim worked his 24 hour shift on Friday night and was able to get everything set up for us. It was a perfect party, with hot dogs and cake, a presentation from the firefighters, (Daddy and Brandon) and an appearance from Sparky (Jasmin). The kids also enjoyed taking turns spraying the firehose, and batting at the pinata! His favorite thing this year was balloons, and we had then on every table!

We were blessed with a wonderful turnout from all of our special friends and had 28 kids there!
Mason enjoyed fun presents such as firetrucks, legos, games, a motorcycle, and a watergun. Blayne picked his presents for this party and picked out a lego firetruck, and new pair of cowboy boots and the Curious George movie which has now become his favorite. Mason said "I love Curious George because he is little like me."
The party favors were adorable firetruck cookies with his name and a number 3 on them, and were wrapped up with a red and yellow ribbon.

After his "friends party" we had a family get together at the house. It was decorated in a firetruck theme as well. I had it all set up the night before, so we were ready to go! It was a beautiful day with sunny weather and about 74 degrees. Perfect to play outside all day!! We ate chicken spaghetti and enjoyed a relaxing evening with the family. Mason loved his tire swing and "big boy" swing. We also got him a lego zoo set. My parents (Noni and Pepaw) got him a family membership to the zoo. We are so excited that we can all go the entire year for free!! How exciting! He is ecstatic about going to see the monkeys :-)
